Description

This course in the Bulletproof Series instructs professionals on developing a program that optimizes complete spine health and performance. The course covers progression along the rehabilitation and performance continuum for the spine. A significant focus will be placed on both the quality and the purpose of movement pattern assessment, implementing exercise progressions, and delivering appropriate program for stability, strength, speed, and endurance. Focused progression and regression will be the emphasis of this course, so you as an instructor, can cleanly deliver the best program for your client at exactly the right time.

The foundation of this course is built on movement science shared from industry leaders such as FMS, EXOS, Strong First, and the NSCA. The course takes content from all of these educational groups and brings it together to be easily implemented in a gym or clinical setting for both the general population or elite athletes.

All our courses are taught by industry leading experts in movement assessment, performance and rehabilitation. CEUs may be offered for DC, ATC, PT, LMTs, LAc, OTs and personal trainers. If your profession & province is unavailable, we do not currently offer CEUs – however, we are continually adding additional licenses. You can also choose to self-submit to your governing body.

Note: Tools are not provided with this course.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop respect for the biomechanics, joint contributions and myofascial layerings that influence spine performance and health
  • Understand the role of regional interdependence as it pertains to the spine
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform assessment for necessary movement quality prior to implementing high level spine fitness
  • Implement appropriate exercise progression along the rehabilitation and performance continuum
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the developmental drills for trunk integrity from the ground up
  • Demonstrate proficiency with progressions toward basic movement patterns of the hip hinge and load/support/carry
  • Recognize situations where the use of a kettlebell will facilitate improved motor control and strength for the spine
  • Demonstrate appropriate exercise implementation following Case Study learning model
